Job Summary
Round weekly at assigned facilities within the Olney, IL area and surrounding Indiana locations, diagnosing patient conditions via physical examination and telemedicine. Perform medical procedures such as debridement as necessary while communicating findings with facility clinical staff and discussing treatment goals with patients. Document each encounter in the EMR using the provided Aprima software and maintain medical records on the company laptop. Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals as needed. This role requires standing and walking for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and includes a dedicated nurse to round at each facility. Schedule is Monday through Friday from 7am to 4pm with no evenings, weekends, or call.
Required Qualifications
- MD, DO
- Board Certified/Board Eligible
- Active, unrestricted state medical license
- DEA license
- Valid driver license
- Ability to build and maintain rapport with facility staff and patients
- High degree of technical skill utilizing software
- Proficiency documenting EMR
- Strong attention to detail
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Must be able to bend, kneel, and have proximal and distal dexterity
- Must be able to carry, push, or pull
- Must be able to perform medical procedures i.e., debridement as necessary
- Must be able to communicate and collaborate on findings and treatments with facility clinical staff
- Must be able to communicate information to patients regarding diagnosis and treatment goals
- Must be able to document each patient encounter in EMR - APRIMA
- Must be able to maintain patient medical records on company assigned laptop computer
- Must be able to facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities as necessary
- Must be able to pass a drug test before beginning employment
