Job Summary
Round weekly at assigned facilities in Mt. Vernon, IL, diagnosing patient conditions via physical examination and telemedicine. Perform medical procedures such as debridement as necessary while collaborating with facility clinical staff. Document each patient encounter in the EMR system APRIMA and maintain medical records using the company-provided laptop. Communicate diagnosis and treatment goals directly to patients and facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals. This part-time or full-time role requires standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs, with no evenings, weekends, or call. We serve as your office and administration, providing instruments, malpractice coverage, and mileage reimbursement to support your individualized practice.
Required Qualifications
- MD, DO
- Board Certified/Board Eligible
- Active, unrestricted state medical license
- DEA license
- Valid driver license
- Ability to build and maintain rapport with facility staff and patients
- High degree of technical skill utilizing software
- Proficiency documenting EMR
- Strong attention to detail
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to bend
- Must be able to kneel
- Must be able to perform proximal and distal dexterity
- Must be able to carry
- Must be able to push
- Must be able to pull
- Must be available for weekly rounding Monday-Friday ~7am to 4pm
- Must not work evenings
- Must not work weekends
- Must not work call
- Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Must be able to diagnose patient conditions via physical examination and/or telemedicine
- Must be able to perform medical procedures i.e., debridement as necessary
- Must be able to communicate and collaborate on findings and treatments with facility clinical staff
- Must be able to communicate information to patients regarding diagnosis and treatment goals
- Must be able to document each patient encounter in EMR - APRIMA
- Must be able to maintain patient medical records on company assigned laptop computer
- Must be able to facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities as necessary
- Must pass a drug test before beginning employment
