Job Summary
Round weekly at assigned facilities in Charleston, IL, diagnosing patient conditions via physical examination and telemedicine, and performing procedures such as debridement as necessary. Document each patient encounter in the EMR on a provided laptop and maintain medical records. Communicate findings and treatment goals to facility clinical staff and patients, while facilitating referrals to other healthcare professionals. This part-time or full-time role offers no evenings, weekends, or call, with a dedicated nurse rounding alongside you. Uncapped W-2 earning potential is directly proportionate to your availability and documentation volume. AmeriWound's wound certified educators provide training to ensure improved healing results and survey scores for client facilities.
Required Qualifications
- MD, DO
- Board Certified/Board Eligible
- Active, unrestricted state medical license
- DEA license
- Valid driver license
- Ability to build and maintain rapport with facility staff and patients
- high degree of technical skill utilizing software
- proficiency documenting EMR

- Must be able to lift 50 lbs

- Must be able to communicate and collaborate on findings and treatments with facility clinical staff

- Must be able to document each patient encounter in EMR - APRIMA
- Must be able to maintain patient medical records
- Must be able to facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities as necessary
- Must be able to work Monday-Friday ~7am to 4pm
- Must be available for no evenings, weekends, or call
- Must be available for Part-Time (2-3 days/week) or Full-Time (4-5 days/week)
- Must be able to pass a drug test
