Job Summary

Conduct weekly rounds at assigned facilities in Olney, IL and surrounding Indiana areas, diagnosing patient conditions via physical examination and telemedicine. Perform medical procedures such as debridement as necessary while maintaining dexterity and lifting up to 50 lbs. Collaborate with facility clinical staff on findings and treatments, communicate diagnosis and goals to patients, and document all encounters in the APRIMA EMR using a company-provided laptop. Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals when needed. This part-time or full-time role offers flexible Monday-to-Friday hours with no evenings, weekends, or call, providing uncapped W-2 earning potential. AmeriWound provides instruments, malpractice coverage, mileage reimbursement, and dedicated nursing support to allow you to focus on healing.

Required Qualifications

  • APRN, PA-C
  • Active, unrestricted state medical license
  • DEA license
  • Valid driver license
  • Ability to build and maintain rapport with facility staff and patients
  • High degree of technical skill utilizing software, including proficiency documenting EMR w/ strong attention to detail
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Must be available for weekly rounding Monday-Friday ~7am to 4pm
  • Must be available for Part-Time (2-3 days/week) or Full-Time (4-5 days/week)
  • Must be available for no evenings, weekends, or call
  • Must be able to diagnose patient conditions via physical examination and/or telemedicine
  • Must be able to perform medical procedures i.e., debridement as necessary
  • Must be able to communicate and collaborate on findings and treatments with facility clinical staff
  • Must be able to communicate information to patients regarding diagnosis and treatment goals
  • Must be able to document each patient encounter in EMR - APRIMA and maintain patient medical records on company assigned laptop computer
  • Must be able to facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities as necessary
  • Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time
  • Must be able to bend, kneeling, proximal and distal dexterity
  • Must be able to lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling
  • Must be able to pass a drug test before beginning employment

Desired Qualifications

  • Two years of experience as a Solo Practitioner preferred
