Job Summary
Welds structural metal components for shipbuilding and repair per blueprints/work orders; applies knowledge of metallic and non-metallic materials and uses specified equipment. Must be able to weld butt and bulb joints in all positions and pass UT/MT testing; performs tank testing and related duties. Desirable ability to pass welding tests in overhead and vertical positions and may require prior welding or vocational training. Equal opportunity employer.

- Must be able to weld butts and bulbs in all positions
- pass Ultrasonic (UT) and Magnetic Particle (MT) test methods
- Tank testing and associated duties as required
- The ability to pass a welding test in the overhead and vertical positions based on certifications being sought
- Prior experience as a welder or vocational training is acceptable
