Job Summary
Administer and maintain the Veeam Backup & Replication environment for on-premises and virtual workloads, designing backup strategies for Kubernetes clusters and OpenShift Virtualization VMs. Manage snapshot-based backups, ensure point-in-time recovery capabilities are validated, and support MS SQL Enterprise Always-On availability groups with recovery planning. Monitor backup jobs, resolve failures proactively, and conduct regular restore drills to verify readiness while managing SAN storage provisioning and capacity planning for NetApp and Lenovo systems. Ensure all operations meet security, compliance, and audit standards (ISO/ISMS) through collaboration with network, server, and database teams. Bachelor's degree required with 5-8 years of experience in enterprise backup, storage, and virtualization administration.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, IT, or a related field
- 5-8 years of hands-on experience in enterprise backup, storage, and virtualization administration
- Proficiency in Veeam Backup & Replication (on-prem and virtual environments)
- Experience with Kubernetes and OpenShift (basic to intermediate level)
- Solid understanding of KubeVirt VM backup and recovery concepts
- Knowledge of MS SQL Backup and Always-On availability group configurations
- Experience with SAN storage systems, specifically NetApp and Lenovo
- Foundational skills in Linux and Windows server administration
- Understanding of networking fundamentals
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
