Job Summary
Assembles, cuts, and grinds metal structural parts to include plates, bulkheads, strong backs, turnbuckles, and come-along; aligns parts using reference lines and blueprints; tack welds foundation and structural members; performs lay out work and marks drill locations; operates high-reaching equipment and lifts; adheres to safety guidelines while working in shipyard environments.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum two years of on the job experience

- T-1 welding certificate required for FCAW (flux core)
- SMAW (stick) optional but highly recommended
- Ability to pass hands on assessment test conducted by shipyard
- Must be able to work at heights, in confined spaces
