Job Summary
Shipfitter – 1st Class in a Florida shipyard. Responsibilities include performing steel structural work for marine vessels with minimal supervision, reading and interpreting blueprints and job drawings, and applying shipyard terminology. Requires experience in ship construction, ability to read plans and weld symbols, fabricating templates, squaring plates, and using oxy-acetylene and plasma cutting. Must be able to wear PPE per OSHA standards and communicate effectively with supervisors and teams. Housing assistance and per-diem available; extended hours with overtime. Se habla español.
