Job Summary
Provide professional and skilled nursing care to trauma ICU patients using the patient-centered care model. Assess patients with primary traumatic diagnoses, fractures, or acute traumatic brain injuries requiring surgical intervention. Manage patients on ventilators, titrate vasoactive medications, and initiate sedation/analgesic drips. Complete a nurse residency program with ECCO orientation and available paid certification incentives. Work 12-hour shifts three days a week, either day or night, with opportunities for advancement and growth within the department.
Required Qualifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support) through American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- Successful completion of Basic Arrhythmia test within 90 days of date of hire
- BSN requirement within 5 years of date of hire for the ASN candidate
- Required basic working knowledge of commonly used computer applications including but not limited to Microsoft
- FL Registered Nurse License
- availability to come to days when positions open up
Desired Qualifications
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification upon hire
- certification in nursing specialty area
