*Hiring Registered Nurse (RN) Critical Care - Med/Surg/Neuro*

Job Summary
Assess and provide skilled nursing care to patients with complex medical and neuro diagnoses, including acute strokes, cardiac arrest, craniotomies, and those requiring CRRT, ventilator management, and vasoactive medication titration. Initiate and titrate sedation and analgesic drips while adhering to the patient-centered care model of SMHCS. Work three days a week on either day or night shifts, with day shifts available only when positions open. Complete required certifications such as BLS and ACLS within orientation, and pass the Basic Arrhythmia test within 90 days of hire. No new graduates are being hired at this time.
Required Qualifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support) through American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support); required for experienced RN, has to be completed by end of orientation for the novice Critical Care RN
- Successful completion of Basic Arrhythmia test within 90 days of date of hire
- BSN requirement within 5 years of date of hire for the ASN candidate
- Required basic working knowledge of commonly used computer applications including but not limited to Microsoft
- FL Registered Nurse License
- availability to come to days when positions open up
Desired Qualifications
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification upon hire
- certification in nursing specialty area
