Job Summary
Hiring Pipe Welders for a shipyard in San Diego, CA. Requires three years of welding experience, knowledge of welding procedures, and proficiency in SMAW, FCAW, TIG, and air arc; skilled with flat, vertical, overhead, and horizontal arc welding. Must read and understand English instructions, hear warning signals, pass background, vision, and drug tests, and be able to work any shift and overtime. Tests include FCAW, VT/UT testing for 2F–4G fillet and butt joints, GTAW assessments (6G, 5F, 4F), and multiple weld simulations; per diem of $160 if eligible. - Pipe Welding Assessment: FCAW, Fillet weld plates 2F 3F 4F (VT test), Fillet testing times, Butt joint tests 2G 3G 4G (VT and UT), GTAW Pipe welding assessment 6G, 5F, 4F positions etc.
