Job Summary
Pipe Welders needed for a shipyard project. Requires three years of welding experience and knowledge of welding procedures and equipment. Candidates must be proficient in flat, vertical, overhead, and horizontal arc welding, including SMAW, flux-core, TIG welding, and air arc; capable of following written and verbal instructions in English; able to hear warning signals and read safety instructions; must pass background, vision, and drug tests; and be able to work any shift plus overtime. Weld testing includes FCAW, various butt and fillet weld positions (2F/3F/4F, 2G/3G/4G, VT/UT tests), simulated welding tasks, and GTAW(pipe welding) assessments (6G, 5F/4F, etc.). Required Qualifications
- Three years of welding experience
- Knowledge of welding procedures and various welding equipment
- Proficiency in flat, vertical, overhead, and horizontal arc welding; SMAW, flux-core, TIG welding, and air arc skills
- Ability to comprehend written and verbal instructions in English
- Ability to hear warning signals and read safety instructions/regulations
- Pass background check, vision test, and drug test
- Ability to work any shift and overtime
- Completion of welding assessments and VT/UT tests as listed (2F/3F/4F, 2G/3G/4G, 1G/2G/3G, 6G etc.)
- Proficiency with GTAW pipe welding (6G, 5F/4F, socket weld)
