**Hiring Patient Safety Attendant Full-time/PRN Day Shift

Job Summary
Observe high-risk patients continuously, maintaining direct line of sight and ensuring safety during transportation, testing, and procedures. De-escalate patient behavior, communicate with patients, and notify nursing personnel of condition changes. Assist with basic activities of daily living, room assessments, and restocking non-medicinal supplies. Transport patients, deliver equipment and specimens, answer phones, and assist visitors while promoting a safe environment through fall and infection control protocols. Document patient status accurately and participate in performance improvement activities. Requires BLS/CPR certification within 90 days, alternating weekends and holidays, and availability for day or night shifts.
Required Qualifications
- BLS\CPR certification within ninety (90) days of start date
- HS EQ: High School Diploma, GED or Certificate
- Monday- Sunday, alternating weekends and holidays required
- Day Shift: 7 am- 7:30 pm
- Night Shift: 7 pm- 7:30 am
- Full-time is three shifts/week
- Requires four days per week of availability
- undergo background screening through The Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse

- demonstrated interpersonal skills to provide calm verbal feedback to patients, re-direct behavior, and reinforce safety with patients
- ability to follow oral and written instructions
- ability to work with minimal supervision
- demonstrated knowledge/experience of growth and development, and possess the ability to interact, communicate and care for specific patient population with care and compassion
- previous experience in health care field
