Job Summary
Review examination requests, consult radiologists for clarification, and verify patient identification before performing in vivo and in vitro diagnostic Nuclear Medicine procedures. Prepare, calibrate, document, and administer radiopharmaceuticals via injection, ingestion, or inhalation while positioning patients for optimal imaging. Evaluate image quality, maintain accurate documentation and activity logs, and conduct daily quality assurance testing on equipment. Operate radiation detection tools, monitor inventory levels, and ensure compliance with radiation safety standards and departmental policies. Full-time, 8-hour day shifts with alternating weekends; hourly pay range $36.57–$56.68.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program or equivalent educational program
- Current ARRT(N) or CNMT certification/credential
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Strong knowledge of Nuclear Medicine procedures, radiopharmaceuticals, radiation safety, and imaging equipment
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare team members
- Must successfully complete required Point-of-Care Testing (POCT) training as part of general orientation
