Job Summary
Provide professional nursing care to mothers newly postpartum, high-risk antepartum patients, and term or preterm newborns in the Mother Baby Unit. Support families through recovery and transition while teaching them to care for their newborns with confidence. Manage patient assignments with ratios of 1:4 couplets or 1:2 depending on acuity, utilizing bedside education to empower families. Work full-time night shifts from 6pm to 6:30am, three days per week. Complete required certifications including Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days of hire and maintain OB/Neonatal credentials.
Required Qualifications
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within 90 days of hire
- basic working knowledge of commonly used computer applications
- graduate of an accredited school of nursing or a diploma program
- Bachelor of Science Degree in nursing (BSN) within specified timeframe as outlined in the New Hire BSN Agreement policy (126.045)
- FL Registered Nurse License
- Basic Life Support/CPR
- Electronic Fetal Monitoring Certification
- Maternal-Newborn Nursing Certification
- Low Risk Neonatal Certification
- any Lactation Certification
Desired Qualifications
