Job Summary
Provide patient care and administrative support in Pre-Operative Services. Maintain active licensure as a Certified Nursing Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician, Paramedic, or military medical specialist, or complete required certification within 120 days of hire. Work full-time 5-8 hour shifts Monday through Friday from 05:00am to 1:30pm. Deliver first-class care at Sarasota Memorial Health Care System, a top-ranked hospital recognized for quality, safety, and patient safety.
Required Qualifications
- Florida licensure as Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), or Paramedic, or a military Hospital Corpsman, Combat Medic Specialist, or Aerospace Medical Service Specialist; or National licensure as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT); which must be maintained active during employment
- Nursing students who are eligible for CNA exam are required to: currently be enrolled in an accredited school of Nursing (RN/LPN)
- Nursing students who are eligible for CNA exam are required to: have completed the first semester of clinical for ASN/BSN degree or completion of first trimester for LPN
- Nursing students who are eligible for CNA exam are required to: cannot be currently licensed in the U.S. as a RN or LPN
- Nurse/Practical Nurse Graduate who is eligible and/or scheduled to sit for the NCLEX exam within 12 months of hire date
- Patient Care Technician (PCT) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Certification: Provide certification of successful completion of a Florida State Board approved program and successfully obtain a Florida CNA license within 120 days of graduation
- High School Diploma, GED or Certificate
- Basic Life Support/CPR
