Hiring Journey-Level Pipefitters

Journey-Level Pipefitter for marine piping systems on a shipyard project in San Diego, CA. Responsibilities include layout, fabrication, installation, repair, and testing of marine piping (Aux Salt Water, Fire Main, Potable Water, Hydraulic, Compressed Air, Fuel Oil, Lube Oil, Engine Exhaust) in accordance with NAVSEA/Military standards, ABS, and MSC guidelines. Equip-and-assemble with table saws, threading machines, bending machines, drill presses, and brazing equipment; perform blanking and pressure testing of tanks; interpret drawings and work-item specifications; provide direction to helpers as assigned. Requires 5-10 years in pipefitting with at least 6 years maritime experience, knowledge of P-73 joint fit-up, and Brazing qualifications; able to certify in MT Braze B-1 and B-2; strong understanding of marine pipe fabrication/repair and regulatory standards; capable of interpreting Navy/MSC/ABS standards; ability to read and apply drawings and specifications; strong math skills; compliance with OSHA PPE requirements.
