Job Summary
Provide direct and indirect personal care to patients in the home setting under a registered nurse's direction. Utilize safety measures during care delivery, maintain effective communication regarding patient conditions, and follow written assignments from healthcare professionals. Document and submit accurate accounts of services provided while observing patients for changes in condition or behavior. Adhere to state regulations and avoid prohibited tasks such as administering medication or performing sterile procedures. Submit required documentation in a timely manner.
Required Qualifications
- Adequate health status to perform described duties.
- Ability to safely handle body fluids and hazardous waste products.
- Must have the ability to effectively communicate with patients and staff.
- Must meet personnel qualifications.
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Graduated from an accredited Home Health Aide program preferred
- Active HHA license preferred
