Job Summary
Provide compassionate personal care and assistance to clients in their homes under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and meal preparation as outlined in the care plan. Promote a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for each client while observing and promptly reporting changes in physical, emotional, or mental condition to the supervising nurse. Follow individualized care plans and agency policies to deliver high-quality care, maintain accurate documentation, and communicate effectively with supervisors, clients, and family members. Practice infection prevention, adhere to safety protocols, and protect client privacy in accordance with HIPAA standards. Complete required administrative tasks within established deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- Physically able to safely perform essential job duties.
- Comfortable following infection control procedures and safely handling body fluids and medical waste.
- Ability to work independently while following established care plans.
- Must meet all state and agency employment requirements.
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Completion of an accredited Home Health Aide (HHA) training program preferred.
- Current Home Health Aide (HHA) certification/license preferred.
- Current CNA certification accepted where applicable.
