Job Summary
Process purchases efficiently, accurately, and courteously by operating the electronic scanner system, scanning merchandise, counting items, and handling various payment forms. Greet every customer in line using Frugal Fannies' Standards of Politeness while maintaining a tidy, professional register area and assisting with adding customers to the store mailing list. Support the sales floor as needed and perform other duties assigned in a fast-paced retail environment. Review company memos at the start of every shift.
Required Qualifications
- 3 to 6 months of cashier or customer service experience preferred
- Comfortable working quickly and accurately in a high-volume environment
- Basic English language proficiency for reading, speaking, and writing
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multi-task and resolve issues as they arise
- Comfortable following procedures and maintaining accuracy under pressure
- Stand for long periods on concrete flooring
- Regularly reach, lift, push, or pull merchandise and cleaning equipment
- Bend, stoop, kneel, or crouch as needed to maintain the area or retrieve items
- Lift or move items up to 25lbs
