Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) in Emergency Department at Methodist Health System in Mansfield, TX. Responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced ED setting, supervising and coordinating with nursing staff, and ensuring adherence to unit standards of care. Requires licensure in Texas, BLS, and nursing experience (12 months or Nurse Residency), with BSN preferred. Primary duties include applying the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation), communicating clearly with multidisciplinary teams, maintaining a safe environment, administering medications and IVs, and ongoing professional growth within a collaborative, patient-centered team.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing. BSN Preferred
- Current license to practice professional nursing in the state of Texas
- Current Basic Life Support Certification
- Additional certifications as required by department
- Minimum 12 months RN experience or completion of Nurse Residency Program
- Knowledgeable about hospital policies, procedures, and nursing care standards and utilizes these when providing nursing care
