Job Summary
Administer medications to residents under nursing staff direction while providing supportive daily care aligned with departmental policies and infection control standards. Record weights and vital signs, chart monthly summaries, and relay resident information to the Charge Nurse and incoming personnel. Maintain open communication regarding work area needs, cooperate with other departments, and identify non-compliance instances to ensure quality care. This role requires a Certified Medical Technician, Nurse Assistant, and Medication Technician certification, a high school diploma, and a valid driver's license. Full-time positions offer a $1,500 sign-on bonus, medical/dental/vision insurance, 403(b), and PTO.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED, with 12th grade reading, comprehension, and math skills
- Certified as a Nurse Assistant, in good standing, in this State
- Certified as a Medication Technician, in good standing, in this State
- Basic computer skills
- Must successfully pass the Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) criminal background check
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Must be able to provide applicable documentation(s) for I-9 in order to establish identity and authorization to work in the US
- Must have valid driver's license, personal automobile liability insurance, and acceptable driving record (if required to drive)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience as a CMT/CNA in long-term care preferred
