Job Summary
Part-time School Age Group Leader at the YMCA of Memphis & the Mid-South (Olive Branch, MS). Responsible for implementing activities and daily lesson plans for School Age Before/After School sites and Summer Programs, actively leading groups of 15–20 children, following safety standards and risk management policies, assisting in planning a quality curriculum, coordinating supplies, and complying with licensing and background-check requirements. Requires strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work with diverse groups, professional image, conflict resolution, organization under pressure, and the ability to complete mandated trainings and certifications (CPR/First Aid/AED).
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Certifications Required: CPR/First Aid/AED (Infant/Pediatric) within 30 days of hire; must maintain annual training requirements
- Background checks and fingerprint clearances per state and school district mandates
- Minimum 18 years of age
