Job Summary
Perform routine and specialized electroencephalography (EEG) procedures, including inpatient, ICU long-term monitoring, and neonatal EEGs. Prepare patients physically and emotionally, operate and troubleshoot neurodiagnostic equipment, and monitor recorded data to identify patterns. Follow infection control and sterilization protocols while documenting findings and preparing reports for physicians. Maintain medical inventory and explain safety procedures to staff. Participate in a rotating on-call schedule with 8-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Join a small, collaborative team within a growing accredited neurodiagnostic program offering continuing education opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of experience in neurodiagnostics
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- At least one of the following credentials: Registered Electroencephalographic Technologist (R. EEG T.), Registered Evoked Potentials Technologist (R. EP T.), Certified Nerve Conduction Technologist (CNCT), Registered Nerve Conduction Study Technologist (R.NCS.T.)
Desired Qualifications
- R. EEG T. certification preferred but not required
- RPSGT certification preferred but not required
- Experience with inpatient, ICU, long-term monitoring, or neonatal EEG procedures
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and neurodiagnostic systems
- Experience with the following systems: Epic / OneChart
- Experience with Natus Xltek neurodiagnostic equipment
