Job Summary
Hip Hop & Tap Instructor for YMCA Dance Academy (YDA) - part-time position teaching technique classes across ages, choreographing end-of-year performances, and adapting to a flexible afternoon schedule. Location: St. Petersburg, FL (YMCA Greater St. Pete). Compensation: $18.00-$22.00/hour with benefits/discounts for members; requires references, drug screening, and Level 2 background check; opportunities for long-term growth in a large non-profit program.
Required Qualifications
- Instructors must have previous experience teaching a variety of dance genres to all age levels
- References are required and videos of past work preferred
- Part-time schedule with afternoon availability during the week
- All instructors teach technique classes as well as choreograph for the end of year performance
- Must be able to work independently, have excellent relationship building skills and a passion for teaching dance in a great work atmosphere
- Pass a 10-panel urinalysis drug screen
- Clear a Level 2 background check*
