Job Summary
Provide person-centered care and services to residents in a harm-reduction housing program; respond to medical and/or mental health emergencies (Narcan administration); assist residents with laundry, cooking and other tasks; maintain a clean, safe, home-like environment; coordinate resident care with other agencies; document appropriately in electronic records; maintain HIPAA privacy; participate in on-call rotation; CPR/First Aid certification required; on-site in South Minneapolis; part-time hours with non-standard schedule; benefits include health-related perks and retirement match; role involves working with adults living with HIV and individuals navigating substance use and mental health challenges.
Required Qualifications
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- Ability to be part of on-call rotation
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills; verbal and written
- Ability to work within an interdisciplinary team
- Sensitivity and aptitude for working with individuals who were formerly homeless and persons living with HIV/AIDS, mental illness, trauma, and chemical health problems
- Ability to work respectfully and communicate effectively with multi-cultural, diverse populations in stressful situations
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries and practice self-care
- Experience working with people who use drugs, individuals experiencing homelessness, or those living with HIV (highly desired)
- Lived experience or passion for working with target populations encouraged to apply
- Knowledge of harm reduction principles, trauma-informed care, and healthcare access barriers
