Job Summary
Perform HIPAA-compliant screening of requests for protected health information, release of information tasks, and deficiency management to ensure regulatory compliance and timely completion of health records. Maintain and manage health information workflows using Maestro Care, Solarity, and Hyland OnBase; provide strong customer service and analytical problem-solving to support providers and patients in a high-volume environment. Exhibit excellent organizational and written/verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently while protecting confidentiality in health information management duties and documentation. Must be able to meet deadlines and adapt to evolving policy and regulatory requirements in Duke Health's HIM operations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 2 years of experience in Health Information Management, Document Management, or a Healthcare-Related Field
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare, Business, IT, or Related Field can substitute for 2 years' experience
