Job Summary
Code and abstract inpatient medical records following established guidelines, grouping codes to determine diagnosis-related groupings (DRGs-CMS and/or APR). Review medical records to identify physicians' diagnoses and procedures, assigning ICD-10CM/PCS codes accordingly. This 100% remote opportunity is eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus and requires CCS, CCA, RHIT, or RHIA certification. LifeBridge Health supports the mission of Sinai Hospital, Northwest Hospital, Carroll Hospital, Levindale, and Grace Medical Center by providing timely access to health information for continuity of patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Formal working knowledge; equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years college); requires knowledge of a specialized field
- One (1) - Three (3) years of experience
- Certifications - CCS or CCA with 5+ years experience or RHIT or RHIA
