Job Summary
Initiate, maintain, and file resident records in the facility while reporting to the administrator. Leverage supervisory skills to delegate tasks, resolve conflicts, and ensure respect for diversity within the team. Apply knowledge of medical terminology and applicable regulations to organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines for medical records operations. Utilize understanding of nursing and medical practices to support person-centered care, with a willingness to work beyond standard hours, weekends, and holidays when necessary. This role supports our mission to provide compassionate, quality care focused on the unique needs of residents and families.
Required Qualifications
- 2-4 years' previous experience in medical records
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Supervisory skills to delegate, resolve conflict and respect diversity
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Ability to understand and follow applicable regulations, policies and procedures
- Ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines
- Knowledgeable or nursing/medical practices and procedures
- Ability to follow instructions and accept feedback
- Willingness to work beyond working hours, weekends, and holidays when necessary
Desired Qualifications
- Accredited Records Technician certification
- Experience with PointClickCare
