HIM Coder II, Certified, Remote

Review electronic medical records to assign and sequence ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes and ICD-10-PCS procedure codes for inpatients, observation, and surgical accounts. Perform physician queries, clarify documentation, and complete charge verification while applying appropriate CPT, HCPCS, and modifier codes. Navigate edits and denials through claim scrubber queues in compliance with AHIMA standards and regulatory requirements. Work independently or as a team member following safe work practices and established Amberwell policies. Requires one year of inpatient and surgery coding experience and RHIT/CCS/CIC certifications.
