HIM Assistant / Part Time

Determine admission data needs and obtain missing information, then check the EHR quantitatively on admission and monthly to assure completeness and accuracy. Communicate with medical staff and other departments to update the EHR, maintain report flow, and QA all scanned forms. Upon discharge, verify record completeness within 30 days and provide information for medical audits as instructed. Control the release of information to authorized personnel and perform other duties as assigned. This role supports the Health Information Technician in the Medical Records department at NHC Glasgow, where the team focuses on quality long-term care and interdisciplinary patient support.
