Job Summary
Design and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for automotive software modules using HIL testing methodologies. Ensure thorough coverage of functionality and performance requirements while leveraging automation tools like MATLAB/Simulink and LabVIEW to improve efficiency. Perform functional, regression, usability, and API testing, then identify, reproduce, and document software defects using Jira and TestRail. Collaborate with developers to analyze, prioritize, and verify defect fixes, and participate in test reviews to improve practices. Contribute to test automation frameworks using Python and Robot Framework. Stay updated with automotive testing trends and technologies to ensure high standards are met within stipulated timelines.
Required Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of automotive HIL testing methodologies and embedded systems
- Experience with automation testing tools and frameworks (MATLAB/Simulink, LabVIEW, Robot Framework)
- Good understanding of software development life cycle and testing processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira and TestRail
Desired Qualifications
- ISTQB Advanced Test Analyst or Certified Automotive Software Tester (CAST) is a plus
