Job Summary
Senior Analyst in Application Development for Mainframe-based enterprise applications. Responsibilities include production support, coordinating fixes with technology and business partners, monitoring SLAs/OLAs, managing batch cycles and releases, maintaining architecture currency, identifying automation opportunities, sunset of obsolete jobs/reports, maintaining documentation and runbooks, vendor coordination, and ensuring regulatory compliance (SOX, CIP). Requires deep mainframe skills (COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, Easytrieve, REXX) and tooling (Endevor, Xpediter, Abend-Aid, File-Aid, OMEGAMON), with strong analysis, communication, and collaboration abilities.
Required Qualifications
- Strong technology skills in Mainframe (3-5+ years) including COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, Easytrieve, REXX
- Experience with RACF
- Experience with debugging tools (Xpediter, Abend-Aid, File-Aid)
- Experience with performance tuning and monitoring (OMEGAMON)
- Experience with Endevor for code promotion
- ESP scheduling
- Knowledge of CICS utilities (CBAC, NEWCOPY)
- Experience with production support, operations, and IT-business coordination
- Understanding of upstream/downstream integrations between mainframe, Oracle, and distributed services
- Experience with job scheduling tools, monitoring systems, and automation platforms
- Familiarity with SOX and CIP regulatory frameworks
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills
- Ability to interact with all levels of the organization
- Strong time management and interpersonal skills
- Onshore-offshore delivery model experience
- Disaster recovery and risk management exposure
