Job Summary
Application Development Associate Analyst – focus on ensuring stability, efficiency, and compliance of enterprise applications across their lifecycle. Responsibilities include performing production fixes with business/technology partners, coordinating issue resolution across upstream/downstream systems, monitoring job runtimes to meet SLAs/OLAs, supporting daily/weekly/monthly processes, managing batch cycles and code promotions, maintaining health checks, ensuring architecture currency, identifying automation opportunities, retiring obsolete jobs, documenting processes and security diagrams, coordinating with software vendors, responding to regulatory surveys (SOX, CIP), supporting CIP initiatives and vulnerability remediation, and providing baseline support for strategic initiatives. Requires strong mainframe skills (COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, Easytrieve, REXX), familiarity with debugging tools (Xpediter, Abend-Aid, File-Aid), experience with Endevor, ESP scheduling, and CICS utilities; knowledge of monitoring and automation platforms; excellent communication and collaboration with IT and business teams.
Required Qualifications
- 0-1 years experience in enterprise application development
- Strong mainframe skills: COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, Easytrieve, REXX
- Familiarity with RACF
- Experience with debugging tools: Xpediter, Abend-Aid, File-Aid
- Performance & job analysis using OMEGAMON, log analysis
- Experience with Endevor for code promotion
- ESP scheduling and CICS utilities (CBAC, NEWCOPY)
- Experience with job scheduling tools, monitoring systems, and automation platforms
- Knowledge of upstream/downstream integrations between mainframe, Oracle, and distributed services
- Regulatory familiarity: SOX, CIP
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Onshore-offshore development model experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
