Job Summary
Application Development Analyst for Enterprise Mainframe applications (Accounting & IM). Responsibilities include performing production fixes, coordinating issue resolution with upstream/downstream systems, monitoring job run times and tuning performance to meet SLAs/OLAs, managing batch cycles and release implementations, maintaining health checks, ensuring architecture currency and identifying automation opportunities, sunset obsolete jobs per retention policies, maintaining system/process documentation and runbooks, collaborating with software vendors for patching and firewall coordination, supporting SOX/CIP regulatory requirements, conducting disaster recovery testing, and preparing operational status reports to leadership. Required skills include core mainframe technologies (COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM), RACF familiarity, debugging tools (Xpediter/Abend-Aid/File-Aid), performance analysis tools (OMEGAMON, Db2 utilities), Endevor for code promotion, ESP scheduling, CI/CD and source control, and strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
Required Qualifications
- Strong mainframe skills (COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM)
- Experience with debugging tools (Xpediter, Abend-Aid, File-Aid)
- Familiarity with RACF
- Experience with job scheduling and monitoring tools
- Experience with SOX/CIP regulatory familiarity
- Endevor for code promotion
- ESP scheduling
- Knowledge of mainframe integrations with Oracle/distributed services
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Onshore-offshore delivery model experience
