Job Summary
Develop and maintain accounting processes ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with US GAAP, NAIC statutory, and company policies. Support global financial operations by executing timely investment accounting processes, participating in financial close and reporting, and coordinating responses for internal and external audits. Proactively identify and resolve issues, escalate to management as needed, and drive continuous improvement through automation, technology adoption, and workflow optimization. Maintain high-quality Standard Operating Procedures and preventative/detective controls while collaborating across global locations. This role is based in the Global Capability Center in Hyderabad, with shift timings from 2:30 pm to 11:30 pm IST.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or related field
- 11 - 13 years of progressive experience in financial accounting or operations
- Solid understanding of US GAAP reporting
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/NetSuite) and reporting tools (Hyperion, Oracle EPM)
Desired Qualifications
- General knowledge of US NAIC statutory reporting
- Experience in investment accounting
- Experience with Investment Accounting systems (Midland Enterprise!, YARDI, SS&C Singularity, State Street PAM)
- Familiarity with Tableau, PowerBi, SQL, Alteryx, Python/R, and Workiva
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Demonstrated ability to operationalize change and foster a culture of continuous improvement
- Self-motivated, with a commitment to continuous learning and technology adoption
