Job Summary
Operate highway sweepers and perform street sweeping, debris removal, and vegetation control on the FDOT Tampa I75 project. Execute sign and guardrail repair, concrete repair, and roadway snow removal while adhering to federal, state, and local regulations. Maintain company standards for background checks, driving records, and controlled substance testing. Full-time schedule with potential day and weekend work. Requires minimum two years of related roadway maintenance experience and proficiency with wheel loaders, skidsteers, and other heavy equipment. Must hold a clean driving record, pass criminal background checks, and possess a high school diploma or GED.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of related experience
- Roadway maintenance experience
- Concrete forming/repair experience
- Wheel Loader, Skidsteer, Fork Lift, Asphalt Roller, etc operator experience
- Sweeping experience on streets/highways preferred
- MOT Certifications (traffic control)
- Supervisor (experience)
- Clean driving record is essential
- Must pass criminal background check
- High School Diploma/GED
- Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
- Carry out simple arithmetic functions
- Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job
- Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology
- Ability to use smart phone and applications
- Ability to adjust to changing work schedule
- Ability to work safely under ranging environmental and weather conditions
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds repeatedly while twisting; other strenuous manual labor may be required
- Ability to operate hand/power tools
- Must be able to work some day and weekend work, if needed
