Job Summary
Report to dispatch daily for work assignments on construction projects. Operate 35-65 horsepower walk-behind saws, air compressors, jackhammers, sandblasters, and core drilling machines safely. Load and unload equipment using provided checklists while maintaining detailed paperwork and obtaining customer signatures. Clean up slurry, inspect trucks before operation, and tag damaged equipment for repairs. Adhere strictly to OSHA and H&K safety policies. One month of related experience required; 100% company-paid health benefits and tuition reimbursement available.
Required Qualifications
- One month of related experience as a highway saw cutter or relevant training
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered
- Able to understand and measure linear footage and record measurements
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed
- Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to lift 100 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- One-year certificate from an accredited college or technical school in a related field
- One year of experience as a highway saw cutter
- Experience working in heavy civil construction, road construction, or quarries
- OSHA, MSHA, or other relevant safety certifications
