Job Summary
Operate and maintain a variety of construction equipment (dump trucks, milling machines, front end loaders, vac-alls, tar kettles, etc.) to perform highway maintenance on state, county, and interstate highways; perform snow removal and ice control; repair bituminous pavement and concrete; mow grass and trim trees; perform culvert and ditch maintenance; sign and cone for lane and road closures; set up and maintain traffic control devices; repair safety appurtenances; and assist upper management with assigned duties. Requires knowledge of highway maintenance techniques and the ability to operate a wide range of tools and equipment; must possess a valid Wisconsin Class B CDL with airbrake endorsement. Hours are full-time; work involves labor, lifting up to 60 lbs, and working in various weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Current resident of the State of Wisconsin
- Valid Wisconsin Class B CDL with Airbrake endorsement at time of application
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 60 lbs
