Job Summary
Maintain interstate roads and highways by performing litter control, loading and unloading trash bags, and standing for extended periods managing traffic control. Operate self-propelled equipment including brooms, rollers, and mowers while navigating varying weather conditions from hot to cold, wind, rain, and snow. Comply with safety standards, read manuals and instructions, and follow company policies during long-distance walking and manual labor requiring lifting up to 50 pounds. Work Monday through Friday from 7am to 4pm with occasional Saturdays, some travel, and pay up to $14.00 hourly. Requires a high school diploma, one year of road maintenance experience, and a valid driver's license if in a supervisor role.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- one (1) year of experience maintaining roads
- experience operating equipment including self propelled broom, roller and or mower
- Prior traffic control training
- Must have a valid driver license if in a Supervisor role
- Comfortable working in all weather conditions
