Job Summary
Perform advanced maintenance operations in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, including snow and ice management, guardrail and attenuator repair, signs, lighting, mowing, tree trimming, incident response, drainage cleaning, debris removal, and asphalt/concrete repairs. Safely execute electrical work, operate machinery such as wheel loaders and skidsteers, and work at varied heights while adhering to federal, state, and local regulations. Maintain proper safety equipment, carry out simple arithmetic functions, and adapt to changing schedules involving day, mid, and night shifts with potential 10–20% night work. A valid driver's license and clean driving record are essential, with a CDL license preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of related experience
- Must have a valid Driver's License
- Construction or Roadway maintenance experience
- Guardrail and Sign installation experience
- Concrete forming/repair experience
- MOT (Traffic control certifications/courses)
- Wheel Loader, Skidsteer, Fork Lift, Asphalt Roller, etc operator
- Clean driving record is essential
- Must pass criminal background check
- High School Diploma/GED
- Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
- Carry out simple arithmetic functions
- Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job
- Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology
- Ability to use smart phone and applications
- Ability to adjust to changing work schedule
- Ability to work safely under ranging environmental and weather conditions
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
- Ability to operate hand/power tools
- Must be able to work a rotating schedule
- Must be able to work weather events such as snow, ice, and floods
- Must be able to work Day & Night shift
- Schedule flexibility is a must
- 10 – 20% of night work involved
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to work varied heights
- Safely perform electrical work at assigned areas
- Exposure to using shovels, weed trimming machinery, brooms, & various small hand tools
- Air compressor operations familiarity
- Must adhere to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations
- Must adhere to Jorgensen Company policies and procedures
- Must maintain company standards for background checks (i.e. criminal record, driving record and controlled substance/drug testing)
Desired Qualifications
- Electrical & Roadway maintenance experience
- CDL license a plus
- Bilingual: English/Spanish (read/write) preferred but not required
