Job Summary
Highway Maintenance Technician responsible for a range of highway/roadway maintenance tasks under close supervision, including cleaning culverts, mowing and clearing brush, patching broken or eroded pavements and shoulders, storm cleanup, fence and sign repair, litter/debris removal, emergency response, and operation of equipment and tools (hand and power tools). Training in Highway/Roadway Routine Maintenance will be provided. Requires a High School Diploma or Equivalent, 18+ years old, a valid driver's license with at least 3 years of clean driving, and the ability to perform physical tasks (lifting, bending, climbing, standing, walking) and work in adverse weather. Benefits include medical/dental/vision, 401(k), PTO, and career development; compensation rate $15.00/hour.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
- Must possess a valid driver's license with at least 3 years of clean driving.
- Able to work in adverse weather conditions.
- Able to lift moderately heavy objects.
- Be able to bend, climb, stand, stoop, or walk for long periods of time.
- Accurate eye-hand coordination.
- Ability to adapt to changing situations with work plans and work schedules due to workload or season.
