Job Summary
Perform highway/roadway routine maintenance under supervision, including cleaning culverts, mowing and clearing brush from roadsides, patching broken or eroded pavements and shoulders, assisting in storm cleanup, fence and sign repair, litter/debris removal, emergency response, and operating equipment and tools (hand tools and power tools such as chainsaws, pole saws, weed eaters, backpack blowers). Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Must be able to work in adverse weather, lift moderately heavy objects, and remain physically capable of bending, climbing, standing, stooping, or walking for extended periods. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of clean driving
- Able to work in adverse weather conditions
- Able to lift moderately heavy objects
- Be able to bend, climb, stand, stoop, or walk for long periods of time
- Accurate eye-hand coordination
- Ability to adapt to changing situations with work plans and work schedules due to workload or season
