Job Summary
Perform highway and roadway maintenance duties along interstate and state routes, including removing debris, litter, and hazards. Assist with pothole repairs, guardrail repairs, and general roadway upkeep while operating hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment. Set up and remove traffic control devices and lane closures, and participate in snow and ice removal operations during inclement weather. Conduct roadway inspections and report safety concerns while following all company and DOT safety procedures. Valid driver's license required; CDL A is a plus. Full-time, stable employment with competitive pay and overtime opportunities available in Alexandria, VA and surrounding Maryland locations.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, nights, and weather emergency schedules as needed
- Strong attendance and reliability
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in highway maintenance, construction, landscaping, warehouse, or general labor
- CDL A
