Highway Engineer

Job Summary
The Highway Engineer will lead engineering design review tasks for highway projects, develop civil designs for multi-modal transportation projects per applicable design standards, and prepare final bid packages and design-build documents. Candidates must have a Bachelor of Science in Engineering with at least 5 years of relevant experience and be a licensed PE in Florida. Proficiency in using FDOT supported software such as OpenRoads Designer and MicroStation is essential. Strong communication skills and project management experience are advantageous.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science or higher in Engineering, preferably in civil or transportation curriculum
- 5+ years related experience
- Licensed PE in the State of Florida
- In-depth knowledge of MicroStation and OpenRoads software
- Strong technical design background in highway design and transportation engineering
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Basic knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel
Desired Qualifications
- Licensed PE in other Southeastern States
- FDOT experience
- Project management experience
- Active industry participation in professional societies at local and State level
