Job Summary
Layout and detail highway, road, and stormwater management projects using Civil 3D and 2D drafting to accepted national and provincial standards. Produce contract engineering and record drawings while reviewing and checking the work of others. Liaise with internal and external customers to ensure quality and timely outcomes, and inform supervisors of difficult or obscure problems. This role supports the Highways & Bridges team within Hatch's Infrastructure group, contributing to the creation and construction of cities through safe, innovative, and sustainable solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Drafting experience with an emphasis on highway/roadway and municipal projects
- Civil 3D modeling and 2D drafting experience
- Thorough understanding of inter-discipline requirements
- Ability to learn quickly and to take on new challenges
- Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Exposure to municipal and highway engineering projects
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrable competency in OpenRoads Designer
