Job Summary
Highly Specialist Speech & Language Therapist role focusing on children and young people with Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) in Cornwall. Responsibilities include developing support in settings, delivering whole-setting accessible training, peer support, identifying inclusive strategies, and advising on implementation. Provide specialist assessments and intervention for a small caseload of deaf children in collaboration with the Sensory Support Team, as part of a two-therapist and two-assistant team. Engage in specialist postgraduate training to maintain expertise, produce high-quality written reports, participate in peer reviews, and work closely with NHS colleagues and Local Authority teams. Manage own diary and work independently with children and young people at the heart of practice. This is a public/customer-facing role with an enhanced criminal record disclosure check and a four-day-per-week pattern, with flexible working options.
