Job Summary
Provide expert communication support and deliver staff training and consultations to empower school staff in mainstream settings. Supervise and mentor Therapists and Assistants while creating communication-inclusive environments aligned with the SEND Code of Practice. Partner in multidisciplinary intervention planning to ensure therapies are effectively integrated into school life. Implement universal strategies and targeted interventions to drive whole-school communication strategies across Hillingdon, Uxbridge, and Isleworth. This permanent role supports children facing complex educational and emotional barriers within a multidisciplinary team.
Required Qualifications
- BSc, PGDip or MSc in Speech and Language Therapy
- HCPC registration
- Supervisory Experience
- Experience working at a specialist level with this client group in a similar setting
- Highly experienced in providing professional and clinical supervision
- Highly experienced in developing training
- All successful applicants will be subject to a fully enhanced DBS
Desired Qualifications
- Experience of implementing universal strategies and targeted interventions
- Experience working with complex behaviours
- Experience completing assessments for Education, Health, and Care Plans
- Specialist CPD and/or training
- Trauma-Informed care experience
- Experience working with paediatric social, emotional, and mental health needs
