Job Summary
Provide expert communication support and deliver staff training and consultations to empower school staff in mainstream settings within Hillingdon, Uxbridge, and Isleworth. Supervise and mentor Therapists and Assistants while creating communication-inclusive environments through multidisciplinary intervention planning. Drive whole-school communication strategies by modeling interventions integrated into daily school life, ensuring children receive targeted support aligned with the SEND Code of Practice. Operate through a graduated response model to equip key adults with skills for achieving therapy goals. This permanent role involves 37.5 hours per week with a welcome bonus, situated within a multidisciplinary hub focused on inclusive education and workforce development.
Required Qualifications
- BSc, PGDip or MSc in Speech and Language Therapy
- HCPC registration
- Supervisory Experience
- Experience working at a specialist level with this client group in a similar setting
- Highly experienced in providing professional and clinical supervision
- Highly experienced in developing training
- fully enhanced DBS
Desired Qualifications
- Experience of implementing universal strategies and targeted interventions
- Experience working with complex behaviours
- Experience completing assessments for Education, Health, and Care Plans
- Specialist CPD and/or training
- Trauma-Informed care experience
- Experience working with paediatric social, emotional, and mental health needs
