Job Summary
Provide expert communication support and deliver staff training and consultations to empower school staff leading whole-school communication. Supervise and mentor Therapists and Assistants while creating communication-inclusive environments through multidisciplinary intervention planning. Partner with teaching teams across mainstream schools in Hillingdon, Uxbridge, and Isleworth to implement universal strategies and targeted interventions aligned with the SEND Code of Practice. Drive whole-school communication strategies by ensuring interventions are modelled and effectively integrated into school life. Operate through a graduated response model to ensure children and young people receive the right level of support at the right time.
Required Qualifications
- BSc, PGDip or MSc in Speech and Language Therapy
- HCPC registration
- Supervisory Experience
- Experience working at a specialist level with this client group in a similar setting
- Highly experienced in providing professional and clinical supervision
- Highly experienced in developing training
- All successful applicants will be subject to a fully enhanced DBS
Desired Qualifications
- Experience of implementing universal strategies and targeted interventions
- Experience working with complex behaviours
- Experience completing assessments for Education, Health, and Care Plans
- Specialist CPD and/or training
- Trauma-Informed care experience
- Experience working with paediatric social, emotional, and mental health needs
